They are used between two containers to join and secure them in place.
When two containers are place on each other the semi-automatic twistlock closes automatically because of the weight. Compared to manual locks, these Semi-Automatic Twist Locks provide better security.
The spring prevents accidental unlocking which makes them more secure.
