Stud link anchor chain is made of metal and the chain diameter starts from 12.5MM to 162mm. The chain is produced to ISO 1704 standards and is used for marine anchor and mooring chains. It has a stud Link chain design and is an exceptional marine chain.
There are 2 grades available including grade 2 and grade 3. The difference between grade 2 and grade 3 is the additional heat treatment process after manufacturing. The finishing could be hot-dip galvanized or black painting according to the customer’s requirements.
Stud enlarged link is associated fittings for use within stud link anchor chain assemblies, such as swivel forerunner, for connecting the stud link anchor chain to an anchor or in a navigation buoy mooring bridle system. These are index sized to be compatible with each size of stud link anchor chain. The material and heat treatment should be the same as that of the stud link anchor chain that they are fitted to.It is made of Heavy Duty forged steel (U2 grade). HOW TO SPLIT A KENTER JOINING LINK.
